Forex Group began providing foreign exchange services to Australian companies and individuals in early 2000. It is a privately owned company with offices in Sydney and Auckland.

The business concept is based on the successful New Zealand company, Forex NZ 2000 Ltd, which began in 1995. Adam, one of the founding directors of Forex Group, remains a director of Forex NZ 2000 and continues to contribute substantial foreign exchange experience to both companies.
